BIO: Prof. Nikolaos K. Papadakis has more than 25 years of experience as a professional IT Engineer. He has served as CTO, Project Manager, Technical Manager, Solutions Architect and Artificial Intelligence Engineer in various companies and for large scale and enterprise projects. He has collaborated with multinational R&D teams and has participated in over 30 EU and national funded projects.
Currently he serves as an Associate Professor at the Hellenic Aviation Academy. In the past he worked as assistant professor at the university of Thessaly, as professor at the Hellenic Police Academy and at the National Technical University of Athens as teacher assistant. He is co-founder and General Manager at Infili Technologies SA a newly formed startup company focusing on sentiment analysis, robotics and AI.
He received the Diploma degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in the field of Software Engineering, and the PhD degree from the same Institution. He worked as research associate at the Telecommunications Laboratory of the National Technical University of Athens. He is co-author of several scientific papers and has served in many international conferences, as organizer, Technical chairman, associate editor, board member and as reviewer of several international journals. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece. His research interests are focused on web data mining, semantic web, information extraction, information retrieval, sentiment analysis and machine intelligence.
